Experience
I am a tutor with experience and education in the sciences, particularly in the study of Physics. I tutor a variety of subjects, including physics, general science, mathematics, chemistry, algebra, and SAT test preparation. I have a relaxed tutoring method, taking all the time needed to make sure concepts and applicable skills are fully understood by my students. I am very hands-on in my teaching style, encouraging practical applications of the subject material to ensure the student has a complete and full understanding of the lesson. I particularly enjoy tutoring Physics due to the ease of which I can relate real world application to concepts. Physics happens around us every day, in many forms, and building lessons around those scenarios has helped me fully realize my teaching potential. I am currently employed as a teacher in the Pittsburgh area, and I tutor on top of that. I received my Bachelor of Science in Physics from Saint Vincent College in Latrobe in '07. I went on afterward to receive my Master of Science Education in Curriculum and Instruction in '09, also from Saint Vincent College. Outside of being an educator, I play the trumpet and thoroughly enjoy music. I also like to spend time with my family, go hiking, and sit down with a good book.
